Ian

Ian looks like the most traditional barber in the building. Beard, broad shoulders, classic sensibility. And in a lot of ways, he is. He came up through old-school shops in Florida and his preference has always leaned toward the fundamentals: clean fades, sharp clipper work, structured shapes done right. But Ian never quite fit the traditional barbershop mold, and that's exactly what brought him to AANUKO Culver City.

What sets him apart is that he actually cares about the full experience, not just the cut. He genuinely goes out of his way to make sure every client feels like they got more than they came in for. The consultation, the attention, the follow-through. Nothing feels rushed, and nothing feels like it's just going through the motions. He wants you to leave knowing you were taken care of.

Ian's technical lane is rooted in the classics, but he's capable beyond them. He can build out a mullet or push into a brushback when that's what the moment calls for. And for context on who this guy actually is: he does yoga, can drop into full splits, and moved across the country because he wanted a different pace of life. There's more going on beneath the surface than the first impression suggests, and that same depth shows up in how he approaches his work.
